JAPAN: LOYAL DOG IN SENDAI
REFUSES TO LEAVE INJURED FRIEND
REFUSES TO LEAVE INJURED FRIEND
www.myfoxboston.com - It’s a universal truth that dogs are man’s best friend, but they’re pretty darn loyal to their own as well.  Since the devastating tsunami hit Japan on March 11 there have been amazing stories of survival and camaraderie.  The violent wall of water swept away houses, cars and ships.  Fires burned out of control and power to cooling systems at two nuclear power plants was knocked out, forcing thousands of nearby residents to be evacuated.  As we hear more and more amazing stories of survivors helping one another in this time of crisis, the video below shows the same values are also being displayed by the animals affected by this natural disaster.    Watch the heart-rending video below.
Two dogs in the devastated coastal Arahama area of Japan are giving us a lesson in loyalty and friendship.  A Japanese camera news crew from Fuji TV came across one of the dogs pacing frantically around the apocalyptic scene and discovered it was actually protecting another pooch lying motionless nearby.  The faithful tan and white cocker spaniel refused to leave his injured friend.  According to reports, both dogs were rescued and are now receiving veterinary care.  The soul is present in the heart of all animals, and in a greater or lesser extent, the consciousness of death, pains and pleasures, always exists within all living entities.WHAT DO THE VEDIC TEACHINGS TELL US?
According to Vedanta, every life form has atma or spiriton, within it. ... According to modern biology, biodiversity is due to a genetic variation caused by the process of occasional chance mutation. However, according to Vedanta, the law of karma and the three modes of material nature - sattva, rajas and tamas - are responsible for biodiversity as well as for diversity in terms of levels of intelligence, degree of development of mind and consciousness of the embodied being within the same species. Furthermore, the Vedas state that biodiversity is a process to accommodate the various states of consciousness in different life forms.  There is a gradual evolution of consciousness through various species of life according to the subtle laws of karma. ... It is the consciousness that evolves, not the bodies, in the Vedantic tradition.
